Architect-turned photographer based in Kuwait, blending structural precision with cinematic visual storytelling through architecture, landscape, and long-exposure work.
Meet Shafi
Shafimon Ummer began his creative journey as an interior architect, where his eye for geometry, proportion, and spatial balance was first developed. What began as a professional design discipline evolved into a deep passion for photography—initially as a way to document spaces, later as a medium to interpret light and form. His background in architecture continues to shape his visual approach; every image carries an intentional structure, harmony, and rhythm.
Over the years, Shafimon has refined his craft across diverse genres including architectural, landscape, long-exposure, and astrophotography. His work is characterized by meticulous composition and a mastery of light that transforms ordinary scenes into poetic visual studies. Beyond personal projects, he has collaborated with regional brands and creative agencies, leading workshops and exhibitions that inspire emerging photographers in the Gulf.
As the founder of Magic Hands Media, Shafimon also provides commercial visual production and social media services, merging design sensibility with storytelling. Through initiatives such as Photowalk Kuwait and FotografiaQ8, he fosters a community dedicated to exploring creativity through the lens. As a SIGMA and BENRO ambassador in Kuwait, he continues to champion precision tools and disciplined artistry in every frame he creates.
